NJASFAA Thirsty for Information Thursday

A monthly series provided to you by our Sponsors

May 2024, sponsored by Earnest

State of Financial Aid Survey
This session will review the latest iteration of Earnest's annual survey which asks students receiving financial aid about their experience with their Financial Aid Offices, their knowledge of money management and future academic plans.  We will compare this year's results to prior surveys and discuss recommendations for aid offices as we hope that the information shared will provide actionable intelligence for our colleagues.

Presented by: Patrick Ziegler, Senior Account Executive for Campus Partnerships, Earnest

Patrick is a Senior Account Executive for Campus Partnerships and manages the EASFAA region from his home in the Capital Region of New York. He holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from Molloy University and a Master’s in American History from the University at Albany (SUNY). He hopes to complete his doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy–also from UAlbany–by the end of 2025. Patrick started his career in financial aid in 1996 and began working in guaranty services in 2002 with the former Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation. In the 20+ years since, he has worked in student loan marketing, loan servicing, product development and served as the higher education liaison for a Congressional Office. A passionate supporter of higher education access and affordability, he is a Co-Chair of the MASFAA (Massachusetts) Financial Wellness Education Committee and volunteers with the EASFAA Financial Wellness Committee, NYSFAAA Outreach Committee and CAPFAA (Connecticut) Graduate and Professional Concerns Committee. When he isn’t working, he enjoys visiting historic sites, Adirondack lakes, Hudson Valley estates and NYC museums with his wife and three children.
